Rules & Regulations
Accessing the Island:
Access to the island is by boat only. The island dock is private and not intended for public use.
Walking on or next to the breakwater to access the island is strictly prohibited.
Day Use:
Respect the island’s natural beauty and do not walk on the fragile sand dunes.
Walk on the perimeter paths only. (See map.)
No trespassing on or into island structures.
No dogs are allowed on the island.
Be aware of both dog and deer tick infestation and take appropriate preventative measures.
Day-use fires must be kept below the high water mark.
Richmond Island maintains a “pack it in/pack it out” policy. This means all trash, garbage and waste MUST be removed from the island. (This includes human waste!)
